Job summary

Landed seeks a Service Manager to direct front-end restaurant operations, ensuring efficient, friendly service and adherence to standardized policies. You will lead staff, maintain service standards, and support sales, quality and sanitation goals.

The role requires strong communication, ability to train employees, and capability to manage cash controls while upholding regulatory compliance. You will coordinate with leadership to sustain guest satisfaction and smooth operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Full understanding of all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs.
• Ensure all food and products are prepared and served according to recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
• Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations. Cover store needs when AGM and GM are not able.
• Support company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance, sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive working environment.
• Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures.
• Develop staff in all areas of service and development.
• Prepare all required paperwork in an organized and timely manner.
• Ensure products are received in correct unit count and condition and deliveries follow policies.
• Administer corrective action for violations of policies, rules, and procedures.
• Understand and comply with health, safety and labor regulations.
• Work with team to improve guest service to achieve the highest level of satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Full understanding of all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs.
• Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant's recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
• Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations. Cover the store needs when the AGM and GM are not able.
• Support company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment.
• Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures.
• Continually strive to develop staff in all areas of service and development.
• Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports, and schedules in an organized and timely manner.
• Ensure that all products are received in correct unit count and condition and deliveries are performed in accordance with the restaurant's receiving policies and procedures.
• Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for all violations of company policies, rules, and procedures.
• Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees, and guests.
• Works with team to improve on guest service to achieve the highest level of service and guest satisfaction.
• Performing other work-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Previous restaurant experience required; previous management experience preferred; successful completion of progressive business management training program helpful.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Excellent customer service to treat guests like family.
• Strong communication skills to train and motivate employees.
• Strong time management skills and accuracy to deal with a variety of duties and prepare reports according to schedule.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
