Job summary

Bobby's Auto Service Center in Gloucester Point, VA is seeking an experienced Service Technician/Lube Tech to join our team. You will perform oil changes, tire services, alignments, and inspections while ensuring quality workmanship and safety.

Ideal candidates will have automotive repair experience, ability to communicate with customers and mechanics, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced shop. We offer a Monday–Friday schedule, holidays off, paid time off, and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• 3 years automotive maintenance and repair experience.
• Formal automotive training preferred.
• Virginia state Inspector preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Reliable transportation.
• Hold a valid driver license.
• Must have own set of tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform work as requested on the repair order.
• Perform oil and filter changes.
• Perform alignments.
• Replace windshield wiper blades.
• Perform minor repairs such as replacing light bulbs as needed.
• Checking all fluids and topping off as needed.
• Mounting and balancing tires.
• Inspect front suspension components.
• Repairing Tires using tire plugs as needed.
• Familiarity with tire pressure monitoring systems and able to replace and relearn TPMS Sensors as needed.
• Lubricates moving parts with specified lubricants.
• Checking tire pressure and adjusting to the correct pressure for the vehicle.
• Perform tire rotations.
• Checking Battery Health and replacement of battery if needed.
• Inspecting vehicles for oil leaks.
• Document all work performed on the work order.
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
• Replace wiper blades and air filters.
• Maintain a clean and safe shop environment.
• Other Tasks as assigned.

• 3 years previous automotive maintenance and repair experience
• Formal automotive training preferred
• Virginia state Inspector preferred
• The ability to communicate with mechanics, customers, and management

• May lift objects that weight as much as 50lbs
• Hold a valid driver license
• Must have own set of tools

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8 am- 5pm major holidays paid, PTO, and Aflac Insurance Offered
