Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah, GA is seeking a Service Engineering Liaison to coordinate and support engineering requests from the Savannah Service Center and Backshop. You will manage RMC tasks, maintain deliverable dates, and communicate schedules while coordinating with cross-functional teams to support customer aircraft needs.

The role requires leading a multi-discipline engineering team, strong written and verbal communication skills, and hands-on experience with Catia V5 or SmarTeam.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or technical related curriculum.
  • 10 yrs in a specific technical discipline or 15 yrs broad engineering experience with Bachelor's.
  • Experience with Catia V5 and/or SmarTeam model based design.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a multi-discipline team of engineers, mechanics, Tech Ops, Quality Control and management.
  • Coordinate and communicate deliverable dates and schedules; support customer aircraft needs.
  • Apply resources to address break/fix issues and minimize overhead costs.

Service Engineering Liaison - Savannah CS SVC Tech Spec II in GAC Savannah

This position will be responsible for working Savannah Service Center and Backshop Liaison engineering requests and providing direct shop floor assistance. Successful candidate will be responsible for RMC tasks and maintaining deliverable dates and schedules, communication of these tasks and schedules and coordination with other teams required to support customer aircraft needs. Responsibility will also include working closely with Liaison Site support teams to best apply resources in a highly tactical manner to address customer break/fix issues and minimize overhead costs

The Following Unique Skills Are Required
  • The ability to effectively lead and support a multi-discipline team of engineers, mechanics, Tech Ops, Quality Control, upper management, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and collaborative skills and the ability to effectively communicate the organization's position with external and internal customers
  • Experience with Catia V5 and/or SmarTeam model based design
  • Positive attitude, team building, mentoring and coaching skills, and a desire to produce and promote training
The Following Unique Skills Are Preferred
  • A fundamental understanding of the sizing, development and installation of airframe structural repairs
  • Experience with aircraft systems
  • Experience with airworthiness regulations in regards to major repairs
  • Experience with static and FDT stress analysis in post-production environment or a production MRB stress engineer
  • Experience with materials, M&P processes and part fabrication
  • Gulfstream engineering experience on GIV/GV/G650 /G500 / G600 / G700 / G800
  • Experience with composite repair
  • Experience in the repair of metallic structure
Education And Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in engineering or technical related curriculum applicable to the respective job position required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 10 yrs in specific technical discipline or 15 yrs broad eng experience in several technical disciplines with Bachelors. Experience credit considered for related adv degrees limited to 2 yrs for Masters and 4 yrs for PhD in fields applicable to this job.

Guides successful completion of major engineering programs, or conceives research in areas of considerable scope and complexity supporting the development and production of Gulfstream products and services

Essential Functions
  • Selects appropriate methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to resolve complex engineering issues .
  • Is consulted extensively by associates and others as a recognized authority within the field .
  • Anticipates and resolves complex issues in creative and effective ways, developing standards and guides for diverse engineering activities .

  • Exercises latitude in determining technical objectives of assignments, and makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative .
Additional Functions
  • Maintains a current knowledge of developments in the field of specialty and/or other related aircraft fields in order to recommend innovations to improve quality and effectiveness of company product .

Other Requirements
  • Advanced degree in engineering, or related curriculum preferred.
  • The level of technical skill and abilities appropriate for this grade will be established by each discipline.

This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
