Job summary

Grubbs Family of Dealerships is seeking a dependable Service Porter/Valet in Houston to keep the service drive moving and make a great first impression on every guest. This entry-point role offers real growth opportunities within a family-owned automotive group known for integrity and professional development.

You will greet guests, park and retrieve vehicles, shuttle parts, and maintain a clean, safe environment. Training and mentorship are provided; strong work ethic is valued.

Qualifications

• Entry role with no prior experience required.
• Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmissions is a plus.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Dependable, punctual and safety-conscious behavior is essential.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Greet service customers warmly and set a positive tone for the visit.
• Park, stage, and retrieve vehicles safely and efficiently, treating each car with care.
• Move vehicles between service drive, shop, car wash, and lot to maintain workflow.
• Wash, vacuum, and prep vehicles to a spotless standard before return to customer.
• Keep service drive, lot, and customer areas clean, organized, and presentable.
• Assist advisors and technicians by shuttling vehicles, parts, and loaners as needed.
• Protect vehicles using seat covers and mats to avoid damage.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a dependable, energetic Service Porter / Valet to keep our service drive moving and make a great first impression on every guest. This is an excellent entry point into the automotive industry with real room to grow — and we hold our porters to the same standard of professionalism and customer care as the rest of the team.

What You’ll Do

• Greet every service customer warmly and immediately — you are often the first face a guest sees, and you set the tone for the entire visit
• Park, stage, and retrieve vehicles safely and efficiently, treating every car as if it were the customer’s most prized possession
• Move vehicles smoothly between the service drive, shop, car wash, and lot to keep work flowing without delays
• Wash, vacuum, and prep every vehicle to a consistent, spotless standard before it’s returned to the customer
• Keep the service drive, lot, and customer areas clean, organized, and presentable throughout the day
• Assist advisors and technicians by shuttling vehicles, parts, and loaners promptly when asked
• Protect every vehicle — use seat covers, floor mats, and careful handling to ensure zero damage and zero complaints
