Job summary

Altorfer Inc. is seeking an experienced leader to manage the AG Service Department in West Branch, IA. You will supervise shop personnel, drive safe, efficient operations, and maintain high customer satisfaction.

You will demonstrate strong communication, motivate a large workforce, and assist customers and technicians with repairs, quotes, and work orders. The role requires lifting 75 lbs, Saturday work when needed, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• 2-4 year college degree in business or 2 years supervisory experience.
• Basic knowledge of diesel engine, hydraulic, electrical, and undercarriage systems.
• Knowledge of AGCO and Lexion Equipment; Technical Training preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills were demonstrated.
• Ability to write professional business communication by email or letter.
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs and be computer literate (MS Office).
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (MVR check on final candidate).

Responsibilities

• Lead AG Service Department and manage shop personnel.
• Provide leadership for safe, efficient operations and customer satisfaction.
• Demonstrate strong customer communication and motivate a large workforce.
• Assist customers and technicians on repairs and define the scope of work.
• Assist with quoting, opening/closing and invoicing work orders.
• Oversee technician productivity and annual reviews, and administer disciplinary actions as needed.
• Promote safety and support technical and professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
