Job summary

Tony's Fresh Market is seeking a Service Deli Clerk to assist customers, provide product suggestions, and handle special orders while delivering exceptional service. You will stock cases and ensure a variety of high-quality deli items while maintaining food safety and sanitation standards.

Daily tasks include greeting customers, answering questions, stocking displays, cleaning work areas, and operating slicers safely in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Highly organized with a keen sense of details.
• Great listening and communication skills.
• Can handle lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting while handling products or using various equipment.
• Ability to shine in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be 18 years or older for the Deli Clerk position.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and build rapport.
• Display a friendly and outgoing attitude with eye contact.
• Respond to customer questions effectively.
• Stock products and maintain displays per merchandising standards.
• Basic department cleaning upkeep.
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures to ensure quality service.
• Assist customers with deli orders and special requests.
• Provide product suggestions and assist with orders.
• Be comfortable working with a slicer and sharp objects.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

As a Service Deli Clerk, you will provide product suggestions and assist customers with special orders while you provide our customers with exceptional customer service. You will stock cases and ensure that our customers have a variety of high-quality deli items to choose from. You will ensure complete compliance with food safety and sanitation requirements throughout your daily work. You will clean and sanitize dishes, food preparation areas, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• The work environment is typical of a retail store. The noise level ranges from quiet to loud.
• The Service Deli is cooler than most areas in the store so must adapt and be comfortable in a cold environment.

Pay scale $15.00-$20.10

The pay scale above is the hourly wage range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position.

• Manager roles have a bonus target potential paid out quarterly based on company results/metrics.

Within this range, individual pay is determined by location and other factors including, but not limited to, specific skills, relevant work experience, and relevant education and/or training.
