Job summary

Graybar is seeking a Service Center Warehouse Material Handler in Youngstown, OH to receive, store, select, pack, and ship products using a warehouse management system. Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and push carts while adhering to safety procedures in a climate-controlled, employee-owned environment.

The role runs Monday–Friday, 11:00am–8:00pm, with benefits including ESOP, 401(k) with company match, paid vacation and holidays, and opportunities for career advancement within Graybar.

Qualifications

• Experience in large warehouse environments preferred.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely.
• Comfort with standing, lifting, and moving materials.

Responsibilities

• Receive and store incoming material using the warehouse management system.
• Select, pack, and palletize shipments for outbound orders.
• Sort and pack LTL shipments and conduct cycle counts.
• Maintain a clean, safe warehouse and perform daily safety inspections.

Our Zone utilizes a Warehouse Management System so technology is required to perform this job. As an employee-owned company, our employees are key to our success and are given opportunities to learn and grow into higher level positions.In this role you will:Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts and push cartsReceive and store incoming material in accordance with warehouse management system processSelect, pack and palletize shipmentsSort and pack less-than-truckload shipments, conduct cycle countsMaintain clean warehouse including following all safety procedures and performing daily safety inspectionsWhat you bring to the table:No fear of heightsPerform physical requirements in a warehouse environment including lifting various loads, cutting wire, climbing ladders and staying on the move in various temperatures, depending on the location; must pass pre-employment physical testingMinimum age of 18 requiredGood attendance and work ethic2+ years experience preferredPrior large warehouse experience using a warehouse management system preferredWork Shift and Hours: Monday - Friday, 11:00am - 8:00pmCompensation Details: The expected pay rate for this position is starting at $18.19 per hour depending on experience.Additional Information:Steel toed boots required.The Value of Graybar:At Graybar, we are known for our comprehensive benefits and our employee stock ownership plan!
