Job summary

Durango Casino & Resort is seeking a bartender to prepare and serve drinks for guests and beverage staff on-site. You will handle transactions through the POS system and ensure accurate cash handling, while maintaining fully stocked bar inventory and adherence to health department standards.

The role requires knowledge of wines, spirits, beverages, garnishments, and drink recipes, with a strong emphasis on responsible service and compliance with gaming regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21.
• Must communicate effectively.
• Must obtain all required work cards and Gaming Registration.
• Knowledge of wines, spirits, beverages, cordials and after-dinner drinks.
• Must have cash handling experience.
• Understand classes of alcohol, glassware, brand names, drink recipes, garnishments, and soda/juice/liquor guns.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves drinks to Guests and beverage servers.
• Processes transactions using the Company's POS system and maintains cash variances.
• Keeps the bar fully stocked with no product overages or shortages.
