Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a customer‑facing associate in Rapid City to provide high‑level service, bag groceries, and assist customers to their vehicles. You’ll help maintain a clean, organized store and support bottle returns as needed.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to work independently, and adherence to safety and PPE guidelines in a varied retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (GED) preferred.
• Good oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Use proper bagging supplies and proper bagging techniques when handling guests' purchases.
• Empty bottle bins, clean bottle machines & bottle return area.
• Collect, return, clean, and organize shopping carts and take out and load groceries into customers’ vehicles.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well stocked department.
• Know the location of products in the store.
• Able to work independently of others.
• Perform cleaning duties as well as other assigned work in a timely manner.
• Follow PPE, safety guidelines, food safety, and cleaning expectations.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need

Position Summary:

This role is responsible to provide highly satisfactory service and assistance to guests; bag groceries and provide carry‑out service to vehicles for quests, retrieve carts from parking area, perform bottle tasks and janitorial duties as needed. Ensure that the shift contributes to the financial best interests of the store. Complete all other duties as assigned in a timely manner.

Physical Requirements:
