Job summary

Family Fare, part of SpartanNash, is seeking a friendly Retail Associate to provide bagging, carry-out service, and helpful guest assistance. You will maintain a clean, stocked department, gather carts, and ensure safe, positive guest experiences in a busy store.

Responsibilities include proper bagging, bag area upkeep, product location familiarity, and adherence to PPE, food safety, and guest experience guidelines while supporting other departments as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Good oral communication skills.
• Ability to interact politely and effectively with customers.

• Collect, return, clean, and organize shopping carts and take out and load groceries into customers' vehicles.

• Maintain a clean, attractive and well stocked department.
• Know the location of products in the store.
• Able to work independently of others.
• Perform cleaning duties as well as other assigned work in a timely manner.
• Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines
• Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed

Position Summary

This role is responsible to provide highly satisfactory service and assistance to guests; bag groceries and provide carry-out service to vehicles for quests, retrieve carts from parking area, perform bottle tasks and janitorial duties as needed. Ensure that the shift contributes to the financial best interests of the store. Complete all other duties as assigned in a timely manner.
