Job summary

SpartanNash, serving the Fenton, MI area, is hiring a team member to bag groceries, assist customers, and maintain a clean, organized store environment. The role involves loading groceries, returning carts, and following safety and guest experience guidelines in a busy retail setting.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma (GED) preferred, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred or equivalent.
• Excellent oral communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to interact politely and effectively with customers.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries using proper techniques and supplies.
• Empty bottle bins, clean bottle machines and bottle return area.
• Collect, return, clean and organize shopping carts; load groceries into vehicles.
• Handle spoiled/damaged products per guidelines and keep area clean.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked department and know product locations.
• Work independently when needed and perform cleaning and other duties on time.
• Follow PPE, safety, food safety, cleaning and guest experience guidelines.
• May assist other departments as needed.

Apply now!Location:18005 Silver Parkway - Fenton, Michigan 48430-3421Position Summary:This role is responsible to provide highly satisfactory service and assistance to guests; bag groceries and provide carry-out service to vehicles for quests, retrieve carts from parking area, perform bottle tasks and janitorial duties as needed. Ensure that the shift contributes to the financial best interests of the store.
