Responsibilities

• Attend scheduled shifts and follow policy/procedure.
• Punch in, sign in, and report to the General Manager on time in full uniform.
• Perform dining room set-up, side work, and closing duties.
• Sell to guests with product knowledge.
• Serve guests according to service standards.
• Participate in table and dining room cleanup.
• Compute guest checks and operate the POS.
• Report 100% of tips for each shift.
• Maintain restaurant safety and sanitation.
• Attend employee meetings and share improvement suggestions.
• Keep a clean and professional appearance.
• Pass tests with 90% or higher.
• Abide liquor service laws.
• Do not over-serve or serve underage guests.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager/Department Manager.

Job Summary

The Service Assistant ensures that our Guests have an enjoyable dining experience by providing quality customer service. Service Assistants work in the dining room maintaining and enhancing the quality of our customer service. The primary focus is assisting the Servers with food running, table clearing, and guest service. You will work in close collaboration with colleagues and follow established health and food safety standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic restaurant hospitality and fully engaged, service minded attitude
• Able to stand for 10 hours
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds
• Good hearing for safety and accurate communication (with or without accommodation)
• Must be able to read, write and speak in English
• Must have reliable transportation
• Basic computer usage skills
• Must possess valid food safety certification or any other food/alcohol certification if required by state law
• Compliance with our dress and appearance policy including black slip resistant shoes

• Attend all employee meetings and share suggestions for improvement.
• Keep a clean and professional appearance at all times.
• Must pass general information and departmental tests with a grade of 90% or higher.
• Perform job functions with accordance to performance standards.
• Is aware of, and abides by all liquor service laws.
• Does not over serve Guests or serve underage Guests.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the General Manager/Department Manager.
• Work with "team work" always in mind.
