Job Summary:
As a Service Assistant at Crab Cab, your role is flexible, and you may be assigned as a Busser, Food Runner, or Barback depending on the needs of the shift. You will play an essential part in supporting the front-of-house team by ensuring timely service, maintaining a clean and organized dining area, and providing general assistance to bartenders and servers.

Core Responsibilities:

• Bussing Tables: Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently for the next guests.
• Running Food: Deliver food from the kitchen to the correct table with accuracy and presentation in mind.
• Barback Duties: Restock ice, glassware, and bar supplies. Assist bartenders in maintaining a clean and organized bar.
• Assist servers and bartenders with tasks such as serving water, refilling drinks, and responding to guest requests.
• Prepare and restock essentials such as napkins, straws, and utensils during opening and closing shifts.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, responding to their questions, and ensuring a positive dining experience.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in customer service or restaurant roles (Busser, Food Runner, or Barback) is preferred but not required.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to carry trays, lift supplies, and stand/walk for extended periods during shifts.
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak hours.

Guest Relations:

• Welcome guests warmly, assisting with any requests or questions during their visit.
• Maintain a clean dining area by clearing tables and refilling items throughout the shift.
• Engage with guests and provide a positive farewell as they leave, ensuring they had a great experience.

Teamwork and Communication:

• Work collaboratively with servers, bartenders, and management to ensure smooth service.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with both guests and team members.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly, and up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Stand or walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to bend, twist, and move as needed to complete tasks (e.g., clearing tables, restocking supplies).
