Job summary

Epic is seeking a Server Systems Administrator for its Hosting group on our campus in Madison, WI. You will keep our hosting systems running in optimal condition so healthcare organizations can use our software to provide excellent care.

You’ll develop tools to support OS and database administration, troubleshoot, and monitor system health at scale. Relocation to Madison is reimbursed, and travel to customer sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Math, Physics, Engineering, MIS, or other hard science preferred.
• A history of academic and professional success.
• Knowledge of Linux or Windows system administration, virtualization, scripting, automation, or DevOps processes is a plus, but not necessary.
• Willingness to travel 1-2 weeks per year.
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
• Relocation to the Madison, WI area (reimbursed).
• Available to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift.
• COVID-19 vaccination.

• Ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Epic Hosting systems.
• Follow policies and procedures and escalate when needed.
• Escalate potential security incidents and provide relevant information.
