Job summary

Pursuit is seeking a guest-focused team member for a full-time seasonal role. You will provide courteous service, answer questions about the surroundings and menu, and guide guests with basic wine knowledge.

You will manage a full section, train as required, and ensure clean, organized spaces while handling cash securely. The role demands a positive attitude, grooming compliance, and the ability to stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of serving experience.
• Ability to lift at least 15 pounds.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Adequate grooming and compliance with grooming policy.
• Pro-serve qualifications.
• Customer service oriented and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous service to all guests.
• Answer questions about surroundings, menu and restaurant.
• Apply basic wine knowledge to guide guests.
• Manage food pairings and sweetness levels with guests.
• Complete training programs successfully.
• Manage a full section and keep areas clean and organized.
• Ensure stockrooms and storage are neat at all times.
• Handle cash and float security during operating hours.
• Administer daily cash Floats.

This job is posted as part of our seasonal hiring for Fall/Winter, 2026, it will be a full time seasonal role. Staff Accommodation is not available for this position.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Providing courteous service to all guests
• Able to answer questions about the surroundings, menu and restaurant
• Basic wine knowledge and to be able to guide guests accordingly
• based on food pairing and sweetness levels
• Successfully complete all training programs
• Ability to manage a full section
• Keep all areas clean and orderly
• Ensuring stockrooms and storage are neat and organized at all times
• Manage proper cash and float security during operating hours
• Administer your own cash floats on a daily basis

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Thrives in a fast paced, high energy work environment
• 1-2 years of serving experience
• Appropriately groomed and willing to adhere to the restaurant grooming policy
• Customer service oriented
• A positive attitude and pro-active
• Able to lift at least 15 pounds and to stand for long periods of time
• Pro-serve qualifications

The starting wage for this role is $15.50/hour.
