Job summary

Grace Senior Living in Michigan is seeking a server to join our assisted living, guided living and memory care community. The role focuses on delivering friendly, attentive dining service and maintaining a restaurant-style atmosphere for residents.

Shifts run across early morning to afternoon windows; you will work with the kitchen team to ensure high resident satisfaction and help with events and daily dining operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, kind, and attentive service to residents.
• Set and clear tables, take orders, and serve residents in a timely, professional manner.
• Maintain a high level of customer service and promote a restaurant-style dining atmosphere.
• Work with the Executive Chef and Cooks to ensure resident satisfaction with food and dining.
• Take and deliver accurate meal orders to residents in the dining room.
• Remove used or soiled dishes, utensils, glasses, and linens as needed.
• Adhere to quality standards and best food safety practices.
• Assist with preparation and execution of special events, banquets, and themed meals.
• Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, floors, and dining room equipment; assist in washing dishes after meals.
• Communicate resident likes and dislikes to the Chef for menu planning and satisfaction.

Essential Duties:

• Provide friendly, kind, and attentive service to our resident
• Responsible for setting and clearing tables, taking orders, and serving residents in a timely, professional manner
• Provide a high level of customer service and promote a restaurant style dining atmosphere
• Work closely with the Executive Chef and Cooks to maintain resident satisfaction with food and dining experience
• Take and deliver accurate meal orders to residents in the dining room
• Remove used or soiled plates, utensils, glasses, linen from the dining room as needed
• Adhere to quality standards and best food safety practices
• Assist with preparation and execution of special events, banquets, and themed meals
• Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, floors, condiment containers, and equipment used in the dining room as well as assist Chef in washing dishes after meals
• Communicate resident likes and dislikes to the Chef for menu planning purposes and resident satisfaction
• Create a strong sense of teamwork and cooperation with all staff
• May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned by the Executive Chef
