Job summary

Oakmont Senior Living in Pleasanton, CA, seeks a friendly Server to provide exceptional dining service to residents and guests. The role emphasizes courteous interaction, accurate order taking, and maintaining a clean dining environment while upholding the community’s mission and values.

The position offers on-site work with training for the right candidate. Applicants should be at least 16, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and demonstrate strong customer service and communication

Qualifications

• Experience is preferred but not necessary; we will train the right candidate.
• Must be at least 16 years of age with a work permit.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal communication skills to interact with residents, families, and staff.
• Criminal background check and health screening tests required.
• Vaccination/testing and PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Serve residents, family members, and visitors in a professional, dignified, courteous manner.
• Take residents' and guests’ food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS.
• Set up and break down tables.
• Maintain proper serving techniques and etiquette.
• Keep a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests.

Pay Range: $17.80/hr - $18.80/hr

The Server is responsible for serving food in a friendly, courteous manner, and performing a variety of duties in and around the dining area and kitchen in order to enhance the customers' experience, in accordance with the company’s mission, and values.

Responsibilities:

• Serve residents, family members, and visitors in a professional, dignified, efficient, and courteous manner.
• Accurately and professionally take residents' and guests’ food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS (point of sale computer).
• Set up and break down (bus) tables.
• Assure compliance with all proper serving techniques/etiquette (e.g. serving from left, clearing used dishes between courses, etc.).
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age with a work permit.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
