Job summary

The Sheridan at Park Ridge is seeking a Food Service Associate to provide quick, friendly service of meals and beverages to residents and guests. You will take orders, relay to the kitchen, and deliver items with accuracy.

No experience is required, as training is provided and food safety certification will be offered as needed. Must communicate clearly in English and be comfortable with basic computer tasks for POS and payroll systems. A positive team attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Food service experience is preferred but training will be provided.
• Must complete food safety training to obtain required licenses.
• Clear and effective English communication.
• Basic computer skills for POS and payroll systems.
• Ability to make independent decisions when needed.
• Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward residents and coworkers.

Job Description

• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers.

Qualifications

Salary $17.75 per hour

• No experience is necessary, although previous food service experience is preferred. We will train you.
• You will have to go through food safety training to obtain and/or hold any required local, state, and/or county required food handling/sanitation licenses and/or certificates.
• You need to be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English.
• Basic computer skills are needed for POS system and payroll system.
• You possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• You have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• You can maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward the residents and your co-workers.
