Job summary

Hyatt Place Hyatt House Indy is seeking a Restaurant Server to deliver friendly, attentive service in a fast-paced food and beverage environment.

You will greet guests, take orders, input into POS, handle payments, and maintain clean tables while following safety guidelines.

Previous hospitality experience and a high school diploma are preferred; strong communication and multitasking skills are essential. Ability to lift up to 25-30 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Previous serving or hospitality experience preferred.
• Skills: Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• POS experience and cash handling are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, attentive service.
• Present menus, answer questions, and make recommendations.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and input them into the POS system.
• Deliver food and drinks promptly, ensuring proper presentation and temperature.
• Check back with guests regularly and anticipate needs.
• Process payments, handle cash, and balance receipts accurately.
• Maintain table cleanliness, reset tables, and support dining room organization.
• Communicate guest needs and concerns to management or kitchen staff as needed.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines.
• Assist with opening, closing, and side work duties.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education
