Job summary

Maplewood Senior Living in Chardon, OH, is seeking a Part-Time Server in the Dining Services department to deliver a warm, dignified dining experience for residents and guests.

The role emphasizes setting up, serving, cleaning, and maintaining sanitary areas, with open holiday and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Some kitchen experience is desirable.
• Basic knife skills are required.
• Operation of common kitchen appliances (microwave, coffee maker, ice machine).
• Food handling operations knowledge.
• Familiar with OSHA-MSDS sheets and procedures.
• Knowledge of fire and safety procedures.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Follows the posted work schedule and arrives on time and in appropriate work attire.
• Responsible for maintaining the kitchen and other assigned area in a sanitary manner.
• Establish and maintain constructive working relationships with coworkers and residents.
• Must be familiar with food handling procedures and regulations.
• Must know how to operate kitchen appliances such as the dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave, coffee maker and ice machine.
• May be required to help with food preparation, inventory, maintenance as well as food deliveries and shelf stock.

Position Summary

The Dining Room Server plays an integral role in delivering an outstanding customer experience for residents and guests. The Dining Room Server is responsible for assisting in the set-up, service, and cleaning of the dining room (s) and in ensuring the dining experience is enjoyable, timely, and engaging for residents and guests.
