Job summary

Aramark's Asilomar Conference Grounds in Pacific Grove, CA is seeking an On-Call Server. You will take orders, serve food and beverages, and create memorable guest experiences while maintaining a positive, customer-focused attitude.

This role is on-call with availability requirements and weekly scheduling. Compensation is $23.00 per hour, with benefits varied by location; candidates must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a server or in food service preferred.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
• Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Working knowledge of food safety principles and procedures.
• Must be able to obtain a food safety certification.
• Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Serves food and beverage to guests according to guests orders and/or banquet menu.
• Maintains knowledge of menu items and all other offerings.
• Maintains appearance and cleanliness of food service areas during event.
• Replenishes food and beverage product.
• Adheres to all alcohol service policies and safe drinking guidelines including checking guests’ identification.
• Provides excellent customer service, anticipating guests’ needs.
• Breaks down and cleans/sanitizes food service areas, workstations, and equipment.
• Maintains a positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
• Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation.
• Ensures security of company assets.

On Call employees are required to submit an availability form setting out any restrictions in their days and hours for work. On Call employees may update their availability weekly. Updates must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday for the schedule that will be posted on the following Monday. Employees that have not submitted an availability form shall be presumed to be available for work. Available “On Call” employees will be offered available work on the basis of their availability, seniority and classification and contacted to confirm the shift via e-mail notification/text message by 2:00 p.m. on the Friday prior to the schedule being posted on the following Monday. The “On Call” employee must contact the Employer to accept the offered shift twenty four(24) hours from the time the e-mail/text message is sent.

Compensation Data

COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $23.00 to $23.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.
