Morongo Casino Resort & Spa in Cabazon, CA, is seeking a Server – Mozen to greet guests, take and deliver food and beverage orders, and ensure a seamless dining experience.

Upholding AAA Four Diamond standards, you will support a clean, efficient, guest-focused environment while providing courteous service. Experience in fine dining or upscale settings is preferred, with a CA food handler certification upon hire.

The Server – Mozen is responsible for greeting guests, taking and delivering food and beverage orders, and ensuring a seamless dining experience through prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable service. This position upholds AAA Four Diamond standards and supports a clean, efficient, and guest-focused environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Greets guests promptly, introduces self, and provides menu guidance including beverage and appetizer recommendations.
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of menu offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation standards.
  • Takes accurate food and beverage orders, inputs them into the POS system efficiently, and ensures timely delivery.
  • Delivers food and beverages using proper serving techniques, ensuring accuracy, quality, and presentation meet service standards.
  • Conducts regular table check-backs to ensure guest satisfaction and addresses questions, concerns, or special requests promptly and professionally.
  • Presents, delivers, and retrieves guest checks; processes payments, applies discounts or comps, and returns accurate change.
  • Coordinates with kitchen and support staff to ensure orders are prepared and delivered accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Busses, cleans, and resets tables efficiently to maintain a clean, organized, and guest-ready dining area.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of workstation and dining areas throughout each shift.
  • Prepares and restocks service items such as condiments, utensils, napkins, coffee, and beverages to ensure continuous service readiness.
  • Accurately signs in/out at the beginning and end of each shift and completes all required shift documentation.
  • Participates in pre-shift meetings and completes assigned side work and cleaning duties.
  • Adheres to all departmental cash handling, safety, health, and sanitation procedures.
  • Provides courteous farewells and encourages return visits to enhance guest loyalty.
  • Verifies guest identification to ensure compliance with alcohol service laws and adheres to allABCregulations, RBS training standards, and internal policies.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned to support department operations and guest satisfaction.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but may provide guidance or support to other team members.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to deliver exceptional guest service in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

  • High attention to detail and time management.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Additional coursework in hospitality or food and beverage service is a plus.
  • Food Handler Certification required or must be obtained upon hire.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of serving experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards, wine and cocktail pairing, and formal table service etiquette.
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional guest service with attention to detail, professionalism, and poise.
  • Experience using POS systems, handling cash and credit transactions, and managing multi-course service.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Prior experience in a casino, resort, or luxury dining venue is strongly preferred.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:

Must have successfully completed a background check and obtained a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency, as required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Must be able to read and interpret documents in English, such as instructions, guidelines, policies, and procedures. Must also be able to communicate clearly and effectively with team members, management, and guests.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Mobility: Continuously moves throughout the dining room, kitchen pass, and service areas; requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, and reaching for extended periods during shifts.
  • Stationary Work: Rarely remains seated; duties are actively performed while circulating through the dining area and attending to guest needs.
  • Tool Operation: Frequent use of POS terminals, tray stands, beverage service tools, and order input devices; must ensure accurate and timely order entry and execution.
  • Visual Acuity: Requires near and far vision to read order tickets, check food and drink presentation, identify table numbers, and observe guest cues for service needs.
  • Working Conditions: Routinely works in a high-end restaurant environment with exposure to moderate noise levels, varying lighting, and guest interactions. Regular exposure to a smoking environment while transitioning through casino or public areas.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This is a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires the ability to adapt and perform under pressure. The casino operates with moderate to loud noise levels and is a smoking environment, requiring team members to work comfortably in these conditions.

WORKING HOURS:

Morongo Casino Resort & Spa operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; therefore, flexibility in scheduling is essential. Team members must be available to work shifts that may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs and may include overtime, as well as work on both weekdays and weekends.
