Job summary

Modus by PM Hotel Group is seeking on-call event servers to deliver prompt, courteous service at our guest events. You will attend to guest needs and help ensure every dining experience is flawless to encourage repeat visits.

This onsite, non-exempt role requires flexible availability for special events. Pay ranges from $17 to $19 per hour, with opportunities to work at marquee Nightsky events, and growth within a hospitality-focused team.

Qualifications

• Banquet experience preferred.
• Hotel experience preferred.
• Ability to think on your feet under pressure.
• Food Handler and Liquor permits required.
• High-School Diploma required.

What You’ll Do

• Positively interact with all guests and caters to their appropriate needs in order to ensure the success of food and beverage.
• Provide guests with excellent customer service.
• Accommodate any needs for reasonable special requests.
• Knowledge of food and wine including the ability to answer questions related to the menu or buffet.
• Serve guests food & drinks during event.
• Prepare room for event (set tablecloths, dishes and silverware as needed)
• Recycle all appropriate items i.e. bottles, cans, plastic, etc. in accordance to the environmental handbook.

What You Bring to the Table

• Previous banquet experience (preferred)
• Previous hotel experience (preferred)
• Ability to think on your feet and work calmly under pressure.
• A passion for customer service
• Food Handler and Liquor permits
• High-School Diploma (or equivalent)
• Ability to lift/carry up to 30 pounds.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
