Job summary

Montage International is seeking a Server for our luxury Pendry-branded property in the United States. You will greet and serve guests, assist with menu selections, and ensure timely delivery while upholding high service standards.

You will upsell specials, adhere to safety and cleanliness protocols, participate in daily pre-shift briefings, and collaborate with a team to consistently meet guest expectations and create memorable experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in food and beverage operations.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Basic communication skills.
• Prior micros or other systems experience is a plus.
• Luxury hotel experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food and beverages are served in a professional and timely manner.
• Assist guests with menu selections and dietary questions.
• Take accurate orders and communicate modifications to the kitchen.
• Anticipate guest needs and suggest desserts or coffee options.
• Promote menu items and promotions to increase sales.
• Adhere to cleaning and safety standards.
• Attend daily pre-shift meetings.
• Follow service sequence with attention to detail.
• Deliver on guest expectations and create WOW moments.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

Your Journey

• Ensure food and beverages are being served in a professional and timely manner
• Assist guests with menu selections, providing recommendations and answering questions about ingredients, preparation methods, and dietary restrictions.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring special requests or modifications are recorded and communicated to the kitchen staff.
• Anticipate guest needs throughout the meal service, such as refilling drinks, clearing empty plates, and offering dessert or coffee options.
• Check in with guests periodically to ensure satisfaction with their meals and address any concerns or issues promptly.
• Promote menu items, specials, and promotions to guests, using suggestive selling techniques to increase sales and enhance the dining experience.
• Adhere to all cleaning and safety standards
• Attend daily pre-shift meeting
• Consistently follow the food & beverage sequence of servicewith the utmost attention to detail
• Deliver on guests’ expectations and have the desire to create WOW moments
• Perform additional duties as assigned that may be outside of the normal scope of duties, based on business needs

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and exercise mobility for extended periods of time during your scheduled shift
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and for extended periods during the shift
• Ability to push and pull food serving equipment and carts weighing up to 200 pounds on a semi - regular basis

The pay scale for the Server positionis $10.00/hour. The pay scale is the base salary or hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, andmay include otherfactorsthat Montagereasonably expectsto pay for the position.
