Job summary

Columbia Hospitality is recruiting a server at Kitsap Conference Center at Bremerton Harborside. You will take orders, serve food and beverages, and ensure guest satisfaction with accurate orders and timely service.

The role requires knowledge of dining procedures, the ability to use the POS system, and compliance with liquor laws. Join a team that values balance, learning, and guest-focused hospitality.

Qualifications

  • Experience serving in a restaurant environment.
  • Ability to operate the POS system and take orders accurately.
  • Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations.
  • State Food Handler's License(s) and Liquor Serving Permit(s) as required.

Responsibilities

  • Take orders and serve food and beverages to guests.
  • Enter orders into the POS system and relay requests to kitchen/culinary team.
  • Assemble food items and ensure attractive presentation and proper temperatures.
  • Maintain knowledge of menu offerings and specials.
  • Process guest payments using standard cash handling procedures.
  • Keep dining areas clean and organized.

What Success Looks Like:
Your Impact
  • Takes orders and serves food and beverage items to guests in accordance with established standards
  • Enters orders into computerized Point of Sale system and communicates any special requests to the culinary team
  • Assembles food items, such as appetizers, salads and soups
  • Ensures attractive, consistent presentation of food and beverages. Ensures that all food and beverage items are served at the correct temperature
  • Maintains current knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including menu changes and sold-out items
  • Processes guest payments, using proper accounting and cash handling procedures
  • Keeps work area, including guest dining area, clean and organized
What You Bring
  • Previous experience as server in a similar restaurant environment
  • Ability to perform essential functions on the computerized Point of Sale system
  • Working knowledge of dining and beverage service procedures
  • Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations
  • Necessary State Food Handler’s License(s) and Liquor Serving Permit(s)

Kitsap Conference Center at Bremerton Harborside offers 17,000 square feet of meeting and event space on the waterfront of Bremerton, Washington. Just a short ferry ride from Seattle, Kitsap Conference Center offers an unsurpassed standard of excellence for your meetings conferences, trade shows, social events, reunions, and weddings in Washington State. The conference center's recent expansion added five flexible function rooms on the third floor for additional meeting and event space with spectacular views and even more opportunities to host multiple day meetings with breakouts, and memorable weddings.

With an ideal waterfront location and sweeping views of Sinclair Inlet, the venue comfortably accommodates up to 700 guests and offers easy access to Bremerton hotels. The outdoor water fountains and plaza highlight the conference center's marina setting, making it the most unique venue in Kitsap County.
