Job summary

Oakmont Management Group, based in Irvine, California, manages Ivy Park at Walnut Creek, a premier senior living community. The Server is responsible for serving food in a friendly, courteous manner and supporting the dining area and kitchen to enhance residents' experiences in line with our mission and values.

The role emphasizes professional service to residents, families, and visitors, includes menu knowledge, and adherence to safety and etiquette standards.

Qualifications

• Experience is preferred but not necessary; we will train the right candidate.
• Must be at least 16 years of age with a work permit.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal communication skills to interact with staff, supervisors, physicians, residents, and families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including TB Tests.
• For health and safety, vaccination/testing and PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Serve residents, family members, and visitors in a professional, dignified, efficient, and courteous manner.
• Accurately and professionally take residents' and guests’ food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS.
• Set up and break down (bus) tables.
• Assure compliance with proper serving techniques/etiquette (e.g. serving from left, clearing used dishes between courses).
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

The Server is responsible for serving food in a friendly, courteous manner, and performing a variety of duties in and around the dining area and kitchen in order to enhance the customers' experience, in accordance with the company’s mission, and values.

Responsibilities:

• Serve residents, family members, and visitors in a professional, dignified, efficient, and courteous manner.


• Accurately and professionally take residents' and guests’ food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS (point of sale computer).


• Set up and break down (bus) tables.


• Assure compliance with all proper serving techniques/etiquette (e.g. serving from left, clearing used dishes between courses, etc.).


• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.


• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.


• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
