Job summary

White Lodging, a leader in premium hotel, rooftop bar, and restaurant experiences, is seeking a Breakfast & Lunch Server in Indianapolis. You will join a hotel restaurant and food & beverage team, delivering high‑quality service and a welcoming atmosphere for guests while supporting everyday operations and brand standards.

Qualifications

• Previous server or food and beverage experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Excellent communication and active listening to read the table and guest needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality food and beverage service and create a welcoming dining atmosphere.
• Set up, side work, and closing duties to ensure smooth operations each shift.
• Know menu items, ingredients, prep methods, and garnishes to answer guest questions confidently.
• Ensure guest satisfaction with food quality, presentation, and overall dining experience from start to finish.
• Promote teamwork and maintain a safe, professional hotel restaurant environment.
• Process payments and complete end-of-shift paperwork and reconciliation.
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance as a brand ambassador for the hotel and restaurant.
• Anticipate guest needs and deliver exemplary hospitality.

We are hiring a Server to join our hotel restaurant and food and beverage team. Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality food and beverage service to all guests — creating personal connections through friendly conversation, intuitive menu suggestions, and a warm, engaging dining atmosphere
• Complete all necessary setup, side work, and closing duties to ensure smooth restaurant and food and beverage operations every shift
• Maintain expert knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, and garnishes — accurately and confidently answering guest questions about food and drink selections
• Ensure consistent guest satisfaction with food quality, beverage presentation, and overall dining experience from the first course to the final check
• Promote teamwork and contribute to a friendly, safe, and professional hotel restaurant work environment
• Accurately process all payment methods — cash, card, and digital — and complete end-of-shift paperwork and reconciliation
• Maintain a neat, professional personal appearance as a brand ambassador for the hotel and restaurant
• Anticipate guest needs and deliver exemplary hospitality that keeps guests coming back
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring

• Previous server, restaurant, or food and beverage customer service experience preferred — not required; we will train the right candidate
• An outgoing, social personality with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest service in a hotel restaurant or dining environment
• Excellent communication and active listening skills — you read the table and respond to guest needs before they have to ask
• A positive, can-do attitude and strong team-player mindset — you thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced hotel food and beverage environment
• Ability to handle high-volume service and perform consistently under pressure alongside a collaborative restaurant team
• Physical ability to stand and move at a fast pace for extended periods; flexibility to work weekends and holidays as business needs require
