Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living LLC in Redding, CT, is hiring a Full-Time Server to deliver friendly, personalized dining service to residents in a welcoming environment. The role includes meal service, setup, and assistance with dietary needs, with a schedule Tue–Thu, Fri, and Sat shifts and off Sun & Mon.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service for seniors is a plus.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions as part of daily tasks.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Takes food and beverage orders from residents and serves meals in a timely, presentable manner.
• Sets up and delivers meal trays and food carts to the dining room as instructed.
• Assists residents with meal selections and special dietary needs.
• Prepares the dining room for the next meal service.
• Assists in inventorying supplies.

As part of the Benchmark dining team, your role will be to foster a clean and welcoming dining environment while making a difference in the lives of others. The schedule for this full-time Server role will be:

Tues.-Thurs.11:30a-8:30p

Fri. 4:30p-8:30p

Sat. 6:00a-2:00p

Sun & Mon: Off

Hourly Wage Range $17-$18.25

Responsibilities

• Takes food and beverage orders from residents and serves meals on a timely basis that are both presentable and appetizing in appearance.
• Sets up and delivers meal trays and food carts to the dining room as instructed.
• Handles requests from residents who require assistance with meal selection or have specific needs.
• Sets up the dining room for the next scheduled meal.
• Assists in inventorying supplies.

Requirements

• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Must have knowledge of dietary procedures and related Health Department regulations and guidelines for food service operations.
• Must be able to serve food and beverages for residents in a prompt and efficient manner.
• Be able to lift up to 50lbs.
• This is primarily a standing position and required to stand in one place for extended periods of time.
