Job summary

Fields Senior Living of Spokane Valley is seeking a compassionate Server to provide meals and beverage service to residents in a caring, respectful environment. You will take orders, help with dietary restrictions, and keep dining areas clean while assisting residents to meals and reporting safety concerns to management.

Starting wage is $18.50 per hour with vacation and sick time; this is a full-time position in a family-owned community that values integrity, excellence, attention to detail,

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen (18) years old and able to pass background check and TB test.
• Maintains current Food Handlers, CPR and First Aid certification, or willing to obtain.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret diet restrictions.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in standard English.

Responsibilities

• Take and deliver residents' food orders promptly while noting dietary restrictions.
• Pour and serve beverages and keep hospitality bar stocked with fresh drinks.
• Keep dining and kitchen areas clean per schedules.
• Observe residents for safety and report changes to management promptly.
• Support residents with emotional/behavioral needs and uphold resident rights.
• Assist residents to meals and deliver meals to apartments; help memory care as needed.
• Perform other duties and assist staff on floors.

Responsibilities:

• Take and deliver residents food orders in a timely manner. Knowing the details of the menu and items within the food that may impact a resident’s diet restrictions.
• Pour and serve beverages for residents, ensure hospitality bar is stocked and has fresh beverages.
• Keep the environment safe and clean by following the kitchen & dining room cleaning schedules.
• Observe residents for safety and report all changes in resident conditions effectively, accurately, and in a timely manner report to the Management team.
• Always observe and uphold resident rights as well as positively support residents with emotional and behavioral issues
• Assist residents to and from meals, deliver meals to residents’ apartments, and help serve in memory care as necessary.
• Perform other related duties as assigned and assist other staff as needed on the floors

Qualifications:

• Must be eighteen (18) years old, drug free, able to pass Criminal Background Check, and TB test.
• Maintains current Food Handlers, CPR and first aid certification, or willing to obtain.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret diet restrictions.
• Ability to prioritize and organize assignments.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing in standard English.

Physical Demands and Requirements:

• Maintain ability to lift 50 pounds; to stand or walk throughout most of the workday; and to frequently push, pull, bend, twist and reach.
• Must be willing to be active and on feet during entire work shift.
• Involves light to heavy physical activity performing non-strenuous and strenuous activities.
• Must have sufficient manual dexterity to work with the fingers and to reach/hand items.

Compensation:
