Job summary

The Hanover Inn, part of Pyramid Global Hospitality, is seeking a motivated Restaurant Server to deliver outstanding guest experiences at our historic Hanover property. This role emphasizes hospitality, attentiveness, and a passion for guest satisfaction.

You will greet guests, describe menu items, take orders, and coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service. Strong communication and a guest-first attitude are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of food service experience.
• Knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Engaging and welcoming personality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the restaurant pre-shift for the service ahead.
• Greet guests as they arrive or move about the restaurant.
• Guide guests on their culinary journey through menu descriptions.
• Accurately take orders and confirm special requests.
• Be the master of the menu and discuss details to enhance conversation.
• Work with other servers and kitchen/bar staff.
• Assist guests with concerns to resolve issues.
• Finalize the experience with timely, accurate bill presentation.

Servers are the face of our restaurant and responsible for our customers’ experiences. Food server responsibilities include ensuring our tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, presenting menus and serving food and beverages.
