Job summary

Skyline Chili, LLC is seeking a friendly Server to greet guests, take orders, and deliver a remarkable dining experience in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant. Reports to Shift Leader / Assistant Manager / General Manager and works as a team to ensure every guest is cared for.

Responsibilities include suggestive selling, accurate order entry, delivering food and beverages, bussing tables, handling transactions, and maintaining high standards of hospitality.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16 years.
• Customer service oriented with friendly hospitality attitude.
• Able to communicate with a diverse staff of co-workers and guests.
• Available to work all shifts; hours vary.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Reading and writing skills required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and thank them, ensuring satisfaction.
• Suggestively sell and answer questions on food and beverages.
• Assist guests with basic needs (highchairs, refills, etc.).
• Work as a team with other servers to cover all guests.
• Record orders accurately and input into computer system.
• Deliver food, buss tables, and run side duties.

• Prepare and deliver non-alcoholic beverages, silverware, desserts.
• Ensure all items are rung on guest’s check.
• Handle cashouts and manage sales revenue for shift.

Position: Server

Reports To: Shift Leader / Assistant Manager / General Manager

Position Summary: Creates a remarkable experience for all guests by delivering service and quality food to all guests following standards.

Essential Job Functions

1. Greets guests as they enter and thanks and ensures satisfaction of guests as they exit.
2. Suggestively sells and answers questions regarding food, beverages and service.
3. Assists guests in their basic needs, such as with highchairs, drink refills, etc.
4. Works as a team member with other servers to help ensure guests not in their section are also taken care of.
5. Writes down all guest orders and special requests without error. Inputs all orders accurately into computer system.
6. Assists by running food orders to the dining room, bussing tables, etc.
7. Observes guests and responds to additional requests, follows-up to ensure food is of the best quality.
8. Prepares and delivers non-alcoholic beverages, silverware, food and desserts.
9. Ensures all items are rung on guest’s check.
10. Completes running side duties throughout shift and completes server outwork duties at end of shift.
11. Cashes out all guest transactions and is responsible for their sales revenue throughout shift.

Other Functions

1. Participates in all required training programs, marketing programs and new store openings.
2. Resolves all guest concerns / complaints in a prompt and professional manner according to standards and policies.
3. Performs any and all other tasks as assigned by General Manager, Assistant Manager or Shift Leader.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of 16 years old.
• Customer service oriented; smiles, friendly and hospitality-oriented personality
• Ability to communicate with a diverse staff of co-workers and guest base effectively
• Availability to work all shifts necessary to operate. Hours vary depending upon work efficiencies and other job demands
• Able to work in a fast paced, full-service restaurant
• Must be able to lift up to 25#, memorize table numbers and server’s names.
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, lift, carry and wipe.
• Reading and writing skills are required
• Walks and stands during entire shift, cleans and performs side-work functions as assigned by the Manager on duty
