Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living in Stamford is seeking a Server/Dietary Aide to support our dining services and deliver welcoming, high-quality meals to residents. You will help maintain a clean dining environment and assist residents with meal selection and service while upholding health and safety standards.

The role emphasizes friendly, personalized service, teamwork with the culinary staff, and reliable contribution to residents' well-being and comfort in their dining experiences.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Knowledge of dietary procedures and Health Department regulations for food service operations.
• Able to serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently for residents.
• Able to lift up to 50lbs.
• Primarily a standing position; must stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Takes food and beverage orders from residents and serves meals on a timely basis that are presentable and appetizing.
• Sets up and delivers meal trays and food carts to the dining room as instructed.
• Assists residents with meal selection and needs.
• Prepares dining room for the next scheduled meal.
• Assists in inventorying supplies.

Requirements

• Must have knowledge of dietary procedures and related Health Department regulations and guidelines for food service operations.
• Must be able to serve food and beverages for residents in a prompt and efficient manner.
• Be able to lift up to 50lbs.
• This is primarily a standing position and required to stand in one place for extended periods of time.
