Job summary

Terranea Resorts is seeking a friendly server/bartender to deliver food and cocktails and maintain a high level of guest service. You will interact with guests, answer questions about the menu, communicate with the kitchen, and ensure accurate billing through the MICROS system.

The role requires English fluency, strong communication, and the ability to work well under pressure. Expect a start rate of $16.90 per hour plus tips, with a dynamic team environment on site at the resort.

Qualifications

Job description

Overview

• To provide an exceptional guest experience
• Maintain the company image and vision statement
• Participate in ongoing training and encourage the personal development of all associates

Responsibilities

• Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests
• Set tables according to service standards
• Answer questions on menu selections to guests
• Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, recooking orders, and product availability
• Cut fruit and prepare for service
• Know all specialty cocktail ingredients and garnishes
• Participate in updated training for the bar and menu items
• Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen
• Record transaction in MICROS system at time of order
• Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day
• Complete closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights, etc.
• Present physical and accurate check to guests and process payments
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
• Run food and bus tables when you find extra time
• Anticipate and address guests` service needs
• Speak with others using clear and professional language
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support your team to reach common goals
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Thank guests with genuine appreciation
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

Experience, Education, & Licensure:
