Fitler Club in Philadelphia seeks a Server Assistant to support Little Horse Tavern's service team. You will interact with guests, assist servers, pour water, run food, clear and reset tables, and help prepare dining rooms while upholding club standards.

Applicants should have 1 year of relevant experience, strong knowledge of food and beverages, and a positive, reliable work ethic. Weekend/nights/holidays availability is required.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience as a Server Assistant, Busser, or Food Runner in high-end environments.
• Knowledge of Food, Spirits, Wine, Beer
• Ability to work under pressure as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Restaurant service at Little Horse Tavern following elevated service procedures and standards
• Provide guests exceptional service and maintain menu knowledge for food and beverages
• Complete opening and closing side work and station setup
• Know table, seat, and station numbers and set up
• Attend daily line-ups/pre-shift meetings and communicate with team
• Maintain equipment, tools, and supplies and report issues to management
• Work as a team with management, servers and support staff to satisfy guests' needs

Reports to: Director of Food and Beverage/Dept Manager

Overview: The Server Assistant will interact one on one with guests dining in the outlets. Service will include assisting servers, providing water service, running, and serving food, completing room service orders, clearing, and resetting tables utilizing club service standards, anticipate and monitoring guests’ needs, and ensure satisfaction. This will also include preparing dining rooms and back of house for service, keeping all areas clean and immaculate. The server assistants will maintain top-level product knowledge, knowing aspects of the menu and beverage offerings.

Responsibilities:

• Restaurant service at Little Horse Tavern will require elevated service knowledge and skill, consistently following sequence of service utilizing proper procedures and standards
• Providing guests exceptional service throughout all phases of their experience at the club while commanding menu knowledge and preparation methods of both food and beverages, including specials and 86’d items
• Completion of all opening and closing side work responsibilities
• Knowledge of table, seat, station numbers, table set up
• Attending daily line-ups/pre-shift meetings
• Maintaining all equipment, tools, and supplies while following all procedures and policies set forth by the company, division, department, and local health department communicate any equipment problems with management
• Working as a team and effectively communicating with management, fellow servers, and support staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and or other team members
• Be knowledgeable for all activities and events onsite and in the city
• Maintain confidentiality of all members and restaurant information
• Follows grooming and uniform standards established for this role

Qualifications:

• 1 year experience as a Server Assistant, Busser, or Food Runner, including experience in high-end restaurants, hotel or club environment
• Knowledge of Food, Spirits, Wine, Beer
• Must possess a positive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure as a team
• Most work tasks are performed indoors, some outdoor will be required
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks and physically able to lift and carry heavy trays and equipment as well as delicate china and glassware
• Excellent customer service skills
• Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance
• Must be dependent and available to work within the club on weekends, nights and/or holidays based on business demands
• Must have a positive attitude, be self-motivated, polite, and energetic
