Job summary

Arrow Senior Living seeks a friendly Part-Time Server for our Montvale community in Springfield, IL. You will welcome residents, assist with meal service, and help create a warm, home-like dining atmosphere for residents and staff.

The role requires you to be at least 16, fluent in English, able to stand and lift up to 50 pounds, and pass a criminal background check. We offer a competitive pay range of $16–$19.25 per hour and a benefits package with 401(k) matching and health insurance.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum 8th grade level.
• Positive, energetic attitude toward residents.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop all day.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
• Assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and post-fall assistance.
• Criminal background check required.

• To be a Titan of Tidiness: Bussing tables, sweeping floors – we know it’s not glamorous, but this important role plays a crucial part in making the community something we can be proud of.
• Be an “Appetite Anthropologist”: Communicate with supervisors and Wellness when poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite are observed, as well as when residents are absent from meals.

What are we looking for?

• You must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.
• You can read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency with our Residents!
• You will have a positive and energetic attitude who will LOVE our Residents!
• You must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
• You must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
• You must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
• You must be criminally cleared.
