Job Overview

Hourly Pay Range: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour. Fulltime: May include weekends. Our senior living community is currently seeking a Food Server to join our team of dedicated professionals who want to make a difference in the lives of our residents, their families and our community.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient, timely and friendly service to all residents, staff, and guests.
• Assist with meeting or exceeding residents’ dining expectations.
• Ensure proper cleaning, storage, and availability of all dining services cookware, dishware, etc.
• Keep food prep, dining areas and dish room areas clean and sanitary.
• Maintain proper sanitation and safety procedures, and high quality of food preparation and presentation.
• Provide attentive table service in a memory care setting, ensuring residents feel welcomed and supported during meals.
• Assist residents with menu choices and encourage proper nutrition and hydration.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly while maintaining a friendly and respectful demeanor.
• Provide hands‑on assistance with meals when appropriate (e.g., opening packages, cueing, gentle reminders).
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines (California Health Code standards).
• Ensure proper food handling, temperature control, and cleanliness in dining areas.
• Observe residents for changes in eating habits or behavior and report concerns to care staff.
• Comply with infection control procedures and community safety protocols.
• Work closely with caregiving staff to meet residents’ individual needs.
