Job summary

Primanti Bros. Uniontown is hiring a Server to deliver exceptional dining experiences with friendly, attentive service and strong knowledge of the menu.

You will explain options, inform guests about current promotions, upsell items, and coordinate with the kitchen and service team to ensure timely delivery of meals.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write English.
• Good communication skills, friendly and people oriented.
• Enthusiastic, dependable, courteous, able to multitask.
• Possesses basic math skills.
• Completes and passes the RAMP and/or TIPS certification per state requirements, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, friendly service from greeting to goodbye.
• Explain menu, answer questions and promote promotions.
• Upsell and suggest items, highlight specials and events.
• Accurately take and enter orders into POS in proper sequence.
• Deliver orders or follow up to ensure excellent service.
• Keep station clean, buss as you go, check drink levels.
• Follow alcohol awareness procedures and verify ages.
• Process payments according to procedures.
• Maintain station readiness and cleanliness.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation policies throughout shift.
• Foster a cooperative working climate with teammates.
• Complete opening, shift, and closing checklists and cleaning tasks.
• Perform other duties as needed per Coach request.

SERVER POSITION SUMMARY Servers ensure Fans receive an exceptional dining experience through providing service in a timely and proficient manner, while being attentive to the Fans needs.

SERVER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. 1. Provides warm and friendly service to each Fan from the initial greet to the end of their Primanti Bros. experience.
2. 2. Possesses proficient knowledge of the menu and able to explain choices to the Fan, informs them of current food & beverage promotions and answer any questions.
3. 3. Upsells and suggestive sells menu items, informs Fans of special promotions, Happy Hours specials, or any upcoming Events.
4. 4. Writes food and beverage orders accurately on paper and quickly enters into POS system in proper sequence, while timing the ringing of appetizers, kids’ meals, entrees, all per Fans request.
5. 5. Delivers the order or follows up after the delivery by the Service Assistant, making sure that the order is excellent in every way.
6. 6. Practices pre-bussing as you go and maintains table appearance, removes clutter, checks drink levels.
7. 7. Follows alcohol awareness procedures for identifying age, preventing intoxication, and dealing with potentially intoxicated Fans.
8. 8. Collects payment for drinks and/or food served following our established accounting procedures for all transactions.
9. 9. Keeps station clean, sets up and takes down station tables appropriately.
10. 10. Adheres to all safety and sanitation policies and procedures throughout shift.
11. 11. Maintains a favorable working relationship with all Players to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.
12. 12. Completes the opening, shift change, and closing checklists found in multi-colored wall units as well as weekly and monthly cleaning tasks.
13. 13. Performs other duties as needed per Coach request.

SERVER QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Stands 100% of the shift.

Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and wiping.

Able to deliver food, beverages, and clear tables which may require lifting as much as 50lbs.
