Job summary

Harry's Seafood Bar & Grille in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a part-time server to greet guests, take and input orders, and deliver meals with a focus on guest satisfaction.

The role requires excellent communication, a courteous demeanor, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Training is provided to ensure high standards of service and safety.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Prefer a minimum of one year of previous serving experience.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English (verbal and written).
• Must have a courteous, friendly and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages, take orders, deliver and clear items.
• Check station for cleanliness before, during and after shift.
• Greet guests and explain specials and promotions.
• Input orders into POS and relay details to kitchen.
• Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service.

• Service of food and/or beverage to include the order-taking, delivery and clearing of any food and/or beverage items
• Checks station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness
• Greets the guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials and/or restaurant promotions for guest awareness
• Takes the order and inputs the order into the Point of Sale computer to inform the kitchen of the particulars of the order
• Retrieves order from kitchen, confirms its accuracy and delivers it to guests
• Ascertain guest satisfaction throughout the meal service
• Abide by all state, federal regulations and restaurant liquor policies pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests
• Ability to work with a positive attitude in a team atmosphere.
• Dedication to becoming a "seller" and not an "order taker".
• Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to all company specs and quality standards.
• Understands the importance of practicing safety and sanitation policies at all times.
