Job summary

Stoney River Assisted Living and Memory Care Ramsey is seeking friendly Servers to support meal service in our senior living community. If you enjoy helping others and being part of a team that makes a difference every day, we want you on our team and welcome you to apply.

You’ll assist in meal preparation and service, set up dining areas, keep spaces clean, and show residents warmth and respect at every meal.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in food service or healthcare preferred but not required; we’ll train the right person.
• Ability to follow instructions, multitask, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks per resident care plans and dietary guidelines.
• Set up dining areas and ensure meals are served on time, at proper temperature, with presentation in mind.
• Provide meal assistance to residents with kindness and respect.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, work areas, and dining spaces per health standards.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and cookware with proper sanitation procedures.
• Dispose of food and waste appropriately and ensure health department compliance.
• Work with cooks, dietary staff, and care teams to ensure resident satisfaction.
• Communicate resident preferences or dietary changes to dietary/nursing staff.
• Greet residents warmly and create a positive dining experience at every meal.
• Assist with meal setup for special events or community activities.
• Treat residents with dignity, kindness, and respect; be a team player.
• Be ready to jump in where needed to support smooth operations.

What You’ll Do (AKA: Your Superpowers)

Support Meal Preparation & Service:

• Assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with resident care plans and dietary guidelines.
• Set up dining areas and ensure meals are served on time, at the proper temperature, and with presentation in mind.
• Provide meal assistance to residents as needed with kindness and respect.

Maintain Cleanliness & Safety:

• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, work areas, and dining spaces following food safety protocols.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and cookware using proper sanitation procedures.
• Dispose of food and waste appropriately and ensure compliance with health department standards.

Collaborate & Communicate:

• Work closely with cooks, dietary staff, and care teams to ensure resident satisfaction.
• Communicate resident preferences, concerns, or dietary changes to the dietary manager or nursing staff.
• Greet residents warmly and create a positive dining experience at every meal.

Contribute to a Positive Environment:

• Help with meal setup for special events, holidays, or community activities.
• Treat residents with dignity, kindness, and respect in all interactions.
• Be a team player and jump in where needed to support smooth operations.

What You Bring to the Table (Besides Your Great Attitude)

Experience & Skills:

• Previous experience in food service or healthcare preferred but not required,we’ll train the right person!
• Ability to follow instructions, multitask, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and carry during a full shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and work in a warm kitchen environment.

Certifications:

• Food handler certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.

Schedule:

Part-time -3:30pm - 7:30pm*
*Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required.
