Job summary

Harry's Seafood Bar & Grille in Ocala, FL is seeking part-time servers to join our team. You will deliver food and beverages, take and input orders, and ensure guest satisfaction with a friendly, professional demeanor.

You should be comfortable handling POS transactions, carrying trays, and upholding safety/ sanitation standards while providing attentive service in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Prefer a minimum of one year of previous serving experience.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English (verbal and written).
• Must have a courteous, friendly and professional demeanor.
• Ability to stand, walk, and carry food trays for prolonged periods of time.
• Flexible schedule - days, nights, weekends & holidays.

Responsibilities

• Service of food and/or beverage, including taking, delivering and clearing orders.
• Check station for setup and cleanliness before, during, and after shift.
• Greet guests and explain specials or promotions.
• Input orders into POS and communicate closely with kitchen staff.
• Retrieve, confirm accuracy, and deliver orders to guests.
• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout service.
• Adhere to liquor policies regarding serving to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Maintain a positive team attitude and support colleagues.
• Focus on accuracy, speed, and quality in service.

• Service of food and/or beverage to include the order-taking, delivery and clearing of any food and/or beverage items
• Checks station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness
• Greets the guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials and/or restaurant promotions for guest awareness
• Takes the order and inputs the order into the Point of Sale computer to inform the kitchen of the particulars of the order
• Retrieves order from kitchen, confirms its accuracy and delivers it to guests
• Ascertain guest satisfaction throughout the meal service
• Abide by all state, federal regulations and restaurant liquor policies pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests
• Ability to work with a positive attitude in a team atmosphere.
• Dedication to becoming a "seller" and not an "order taker".
• Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to all company specs and quality standards.
• Understands the importance of practicing safety and sanitation policies at all times.
