Job summary

Hillwood Country Club in Nashville, TN is seeking an energetic Server to provide table service, take orders, deliver meals, and ensure a superior dining experience for members and guests.

The role requires excellent interpersonal skills, ability to operate the POS system, knowledge of wine and spirits, and a friendly, member-focused attitude. Training will be provided to ensure service standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers as they are seated and ensures the table is clean.
• Distributes menus and presents the daily specials, answers questions regarding the menu.
• Informs kitchen of special instructions, dietary restrictions, etc.
• Delivers food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to customers.
• Ensures that food is prepared correctly and to customers’ satisfaction; returns incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen.
• Collects plates and clears the table as customers finish their meals.
• Verifies member billing details and closes out tickets in the Point-of-Sale system.
• Assists with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Dining Room Captain, Restaurant Manager, or (Assistant) General Manager

QualificationsEducation and Experience:

• Must be at least sixteen years old.
• Must be at least twenty-one years old and Alcoholic Beverage Certification to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Previous experience as a server preferred.
• Must successfully complete restaurant’s training course.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Must be able to lift, balance, and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds.
