Job summary

Lcsnet is hiring a part-time Server for the Mystic, CT community dining rooms. In this role, you will provide exemplary table service, manage order entries, and ensure dining areas are well maintained. Ideal candidates should have an understanding of fine dining and work collaboratively with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Must understand and follow instructions in English.
• Experience waiting tables preferred; training available.
• Ability to coordinate meal service and explain menus.
• Work closely with residents and peers respecting their needs.

• Set tables and maintain workstations properly.
• Take orders and provide service courteously.
• Clear dishes during and after meal service.
• Enter orders into the POS system accurately.

Shift: 16-20 hours per week; days of the week can vary; 4pm-8pm

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Server is responsible for table service in the Community dining rooms.

• Set tables and maintain workstations in proper order.
• Takes orders, provides service and requested items both graciously and courteously.
• Clears dishes from tables during and after meal service.
• Correctly enters orders into the POS system while charging the correct resident.
• Setup and breakdown functions and events.

Qualifications:

• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
• Experience waiting tables in a hotel, restaurant or club with fine dining preferred; will train.
• Ability to interpret and explain menus, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service processes, and understand special requests.
• Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor, and peers.
• Requires courtesy, tact and graciousness.
