Primary Responsibilities

• To serve food, drinks, and to accommodate guests' needs in a courteous and timely manner following Applebee's Ten Basic Service Steps.
• To deliver food and drinks to guests using Applebee's team delivery system.
• To greet guests, answer questions, make suggestions regarding food, drinks, and service.
• To relay orders to the service bar and kitchen via the point-of-sale computerized register system.
• To observe guests and respond to any additional requests.
• To present guest check to each table and accept a form of payment.
• To make correct change and/or complete the proper charge card procedure.
• To participate in the clearing and resetting of dining room tables.

Qualification Standards

• Ability to get a State-approved Seller/Server Certification.
• Ability to wipe down tabletops, table legs, pick up debris off the floor and wipe down booth seats in all areas of the restaurant.
• Transports plates, glasses and baskets to and from dining room, service bar, and the kitchen about 30 times per shift.
• Reading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills required.
• Mobility required during the entire shift.
• Transports glass racks and cases up to 25 pounds (such as a case of beer) up to 15 times per shift.
