Job summary

Sun Health in Litchfield Park, AZ is seeking a Server to join a compassionate team serving residents. You will greet guests, take and deliver orders, and ensure food safety and sanitation while supporting special events and dining room setup.

A POS system is required; prior wait-team experience is preferred, and a high school diploma is a plus. Join Sun Health and contribute to a caring community with a $500 sign-on bonus for new servers; rotate through dining rooms and collaborate with kitchen

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and residents promptly and warmly.
• Take and serve food and beverage orders following established steps of service.
• Deliver orders promptly while maintaining safety and sanitation standards.
• Follow up to assist with additional needs or requests.
• Know menu items and ingredients; advise on pairings as requested.
• Communicate with back-of-house to ensure correct orders and requests.
• Keep dining area clean and properly set up before and after service.
• Handle cash and tickets according to proper procedures.

Your Mission

• Promptly and warmly greets guests and residents.
• Takes and serves food and beverage orders in an efficient manner following established steps of service.
• Delivers food and beverages promptly and professionally; maintains safe food handling and sanitation standards.
• Follows up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests.
• Demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
• Advises guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks when requested.
• Accommodates reasonable requests and notes preferences.
• Demonstrates knowledge of specialized diets and allergens.
• Communicates directly with back-of-the-house team members to ensure that orders are delivered correctly, and special requests are accommodated.
• Exhibits exceptional communication skills and demonstrates ability to get along well with others.
• Remains flexible and patient when communicating with guests and team members.
• Collects tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures.
• Promotes a clean, safe and neat environment for guests and residents.
• Maintains a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information that is shared.
• Promptly addresses complaints or issues and relays relevant information or complaints directly to supervisor.
• Ensures that the dining room is properly set up prior to and after the service period.
• Keeps dining area clean and neat while meeting established sanitation standards.
• Works with team members from other departments to perform job duties during special events.
• Attends pre-meal/line-up meetings.
• Ensures tables are bussed after each course.
• Fulfills room service and to-go tickets for residents in correct order.
• Properly maintains and operates all equipment.
• Complies with all state and county health codes for food handling.
• Demonstrates the Sun Health Vibrant Living culture and provides all customers/audience with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating Sun Health behaviors (the 6 Cs) every day.

Your Qualifications

Salary: $15.38 - $16.98 per hour
