Job summary

Avista Senior Living White Cliffs in Kingman, AZ is seeking dedicated, part-time Servers to provide balanced meals and friendly service to residents under the Dining Supervisor.

Under supervision, you will assist in meal setup, food service, and dining room operations, with emphasis on teamwork, communication, and compassion for geriatric residents.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Food handler's permit or ability to obtain.
• Food service experience preferred, but not required.
• Positive team player mentality and passion for serving seniors.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports the philosophy, mission, and values of Avista Senior Living White Cliffs.
• Prepares and serves meals in accordance with sanitary regulations and policies.
• Maintains good rapport with staff to ensure quality food service for residents.
• Assists with serving meals and with inventorying/storing incoming food and supplies.
• Cleans daily and maintains food storage areas; sets up trays and dining areas.

LOOKING TO FILL FULL TIME POSITIONS.

Under general supervision of the Dining Supervisor, the servers performs a variety of duties involving preparation and service of balanced meals to the residents of Avista. The Servers will possess a genuine interest in and concern for the food service industry and for geriatric, chronically ill and/or disabled persons. Must be able to communicate well and take direction to ensure top notch service to our residents.

Essential Functions:

• Supports the philosophy, mission, commitment, vision, and values of Avista
• Prepares food, etc., in accordance with sanitary regulations, as well as established policies and procedures.
• Develops and maintains a good working rapport with department personnel, as well as other departments within the community, to assure that food service can be properly maintained to meet the needs of the patients.
• Assists in serving meals, as necessary, on a timely basis.
• Assists with inventorying and storing incoming food, supplies, etc., as necessary.
• Assists in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies.
• Assists with maintaining food storage areas in a clean and properly arranged manner at all times.
• Sets up meal trays, food carts, the dining room etc., as instructed.
• May assist Cook with preparing meals.
• Serves food in dining room, as instructed.
