Job summary

Forefront in Greensburg, PA, seeks an hourly Dining Services Assistant to set up dining areas, prepare trays, and ensure safe, comfortable meals for residents in a healthcare setting. You will work with the kitchen team to follow food safety guidelines, accommodate dietary restrictions, and maintain cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Setting up the dining area and trays for meal services.
• Assisting cook/supervisor with food preparation and service.
• Delivering residents' meal carts, and setting and cleaning assigned dining area(s).
• Accurately recording temperatures on refrigerators; clean and stock as needed.
• Wash and store dishes; adherence to sanitation and maintenance of the kitchen.
• Knowledgeable of Federal, State, and Community rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Attends department meetings as required.
• Demonstrates accountability for personal/professional growth and any required certifications/licenses, if applicable.
• Completes mandatory training and competencies annually.

You will be responsible for setting up the dining area and trays for meal services, adhering to food safety guidelines, and following dietary restrictions based on residents' needs.

• Responsible for assisting cook/supervisor with food preparation and service using specific procedures, following guidelines, and regulations.

• Responsible for acting in conformance with all facility and departmental policies and procedures including those relating to Human Resources, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, Health and Safety regulations, Compliance requirements, Patient Rights, Confidentiality, and HIPAA. Responsible for acting in conformance with accrediting agency standards.
• Attends department meetings as required.

This is an hourly position, expected hours include days, evenings, some weekends, and some holidays.
