  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of one year of related experience and/or training.
  • Candidates must be available to work flexible hours including mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional guest service in a high-volume atmosphere.
  • Present themselves professionally and anticipate guests' needs.
  • Familiarize with the menu and specials to make recommendations and answer questions.
  • Work with teammates to ensure guests' needs are met promptly.
  • Remain positive and friendly when responding to complaints or issues.
  • Assist with opening/closing duties and ensure areas are stocked.
  • Check guest IDs for legal drinking guidelines.

Reports to

Dining Room Manager.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities (other Duties May Be Assigned)
  • Ability to provide exceptional guest service in a high-volume atmosphere.
  • Must be able to present themselves in a professional manner and anticipate guests' needs.
  • Familiarize themselves with the menu and/or specials to make recommendations and answer questions.
  • Work with fellow teammates (i.e., bussers, bartenders, captains, runners, chefs) to ensure all of the guests' needs are met in a timely manner.
  • Remain positive and friendly when responding to customer complaints or issues.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties such as prepping tables, and dining areas, and ensuring items are stocked.
  • Check customer identification to ensure legal drinking guidelines are met.
  • Adhere to the dress code, appearance, and grooming standards specified by management.
  • Ability to lift and move multiple tables chairs and podiums weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Promptly reports emergencies, accidents, injuries, missing articles, damage, engineering items, and safety hazards to management.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications/Skills
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • 3 years of continuous high-volume full-service restaurant experience.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of one year of related experience and/or training.
  • Frequently lift/carry up to 25 lbs, occasionally lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Candidates must be available to work flexible hours including mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights, weekends, and or holidays.
  • Liquor, beer, and wine knowledge is a must.
  • Must possess reliable transportation.
  • Reliable, consistent work attendance is a requirement and essential function of this position.
