Job summary

Oakmont Management Group is seeking a friendly Server to deliver meals to residents and visitors in a premier senior living community in Culver City, CA. This role supports a welcoming dining experience, following company values and service standards.

Shifts include part-time and full-time opportunities. Benefits are provided, and training is available. Candidates must be at least 16 with a work permit and demonstrate strong communication with residents, families, and team members.

Qualifications

• Experience is preferred but not necessary; training provided.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Written and verbal communication with residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Serve residents, family members, and visitors in a professional, courteous manner.
• Take orders accurately and enter into POS system.
• Set up and break down tables.
• Maintain safe environment and follow safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork across departments.

The Server is responsible for serving food in a friendly, courteous manner, and performing a variety of duties in and around the dining area and kitchen in order to enhance the customers' experience, in accordance with the companys mission, and values.

Responsibilities:

• Serve residents, family members, and visitors in a professional, dignified, efficient, and courteous manner.
• Accurately and professionally take residents' and guests food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS (point of sale computer).
• Set up and break down (bus) tables.
• Assure compliance with all proper serving techniques/etiquette (e.g. serving from left, clearing used dishes between courses, etc.).
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Qualifications

• Experience is preferred but not necessary; we will train the right candidate.
• Must be at least 16 years of age with a work permit.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
