St. John’s Meadows in Rochester, NY is seeking a Dining Server for a full-time, 40-hour-per-week role in our fine dining environment. You will deliver meals with hospitality, knowledge of menu items, and a commitment to resident satisfaction.

You will set up dining rooms, take orders, serve residents and guests, perform opening and closing side work, and help maintain a clean, welcoming dining room. Experience is preferred but not required; HACCP/Food Safety certification is a plus; bilingual

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent preferred.
• HACCP/Food Safety Certified preferred.
• Fluent in English.
• At least one year experience as a dining server preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Set up dining rooms or catered functions for each meal period.
• Know menu items including ingredients, cooking times, and preparations.
• Check your section for proper setup and service.
• Complete daily opening and closing side work and temperature logs.
• Reset your section at shift end.
• Take orders from residents or guests by phone or in person.
• Serve residents and guests in a fine dining sit-down atmosphere.
• Serve residents and guests at catered functions and parties.
• Perform all assigned cleaning duties and assist coworkers as needed.
• Greet and serve residents in a warm, friendly manner.
• Provide efficient and professional service.

This is a full time,40-hours per week position.

Position Summary: The Dining Server ensures resident and guest satisfaction by serving meals in a hospitable and efficient manner. Responsible for providing the highest quality service in a fine dining or catering atmosphere. Responsibilities include:

• Thoroughly set up dining rooms or catered functions for each meal period or event.
• Have a thorough knowledge of all menu items to include Ingredients, cooking time, how items are prepared and alternatives.
• Check your specific section for complete and proper set up.
• Complete daily opening and closing side work and temperature logs.
• Properly reset your section at the end of your shift.
• Take orders from residents or guests by phone or in person.
• Serve residents and guests in a fine dining sit down atmosphere.
• Serve residents and guests in special catered functions and parties.
• Perform all assigned cleaning duties.
• Assist other coworkers whenever possible.
• Greet and serve residents in a warm and friendly manner.
• Provide service that is efficient and professional.
