Job summary

Auberge du Soleil in Napa Valley is seeking a Server to deliver exceptional dining experiences for business guests and leisure travelers. You will be at the heart of our hospitality team, taking orders, guiding beverages, and ensuring seamless service during peak hours.

The role requires at least one year in foodservice, a strong knowledge of food and wine, and the ability to stand for long shifts. You will uphold safety, cleanliness, and a polished appearance in a luxury setting.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year experience in the foodservice/hospitality industry.
  • Good knowledge of food and wine. Experience at a luxury hospitality property preferred.
  • Must be of minimum age to serve alcohol.
  • Superior professional appearance and manner, good character to work in a fast-paced team.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs.
  • Ability to obtain relevant state and local government certifications, such as food handlers certificate or alcohol training certifications, as applicable to the position.
  • Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours and be able to lift up, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the guest dining experience by taking orders, anticipating needs, and delivering all items efficiently.
  • Relate with guests to ensure satisfaction with beverages and meals, maintaining a consistently heartfelt and high-quality service.
  • Comply with Auberge Collection standards and make thoughtful suggestions for upselling unique menu items.
  • Contribute to improving the F&B sales revenues by being knowledgeable about all menu items.
  • Accurately and quickly take and place orders and input them into the POS system ensuring correct timing and billing.
  • Prepare the guest check accurately and collect payment or signature, as required.
  • Operate, maintain and properly clean all restaurant equipment and fittings.
  • Ensure that the restaurant is tidy and organized at all times.
  • Use safe food handling procedures and maintain a safe working environment by using proper skills and food safety guidelines.
